Spot the hazards cartoon – Restaurant and Kitchen health and safety…
This cartoon is very large poster size A2 which is 59.4cm wide x 42cm deep. Ideal for training staff/colleagues and customers to be more safety conscious.
Some of the health and safety hazards include: knives ill placed on work surface, not paying attention while using meat cleaver, not using safety gloves while chopping meat, meat left out of fridge cross contamination, guy in trainers – not proper foot wear, drunk worker, pan fire near fat dripping from extractor – fire hazard, cross contaminations from meats, not lifting correctly, dirty cloth left near meats, trying to open tin can with knife, scratching backside then not washing hands, bully from senior chef, sneezing on food, slip hazard while carrying very hot soup – scolding hazard, chemicals left on work surfaces, gas ring left on unattended – napkins nearby could cause fire hazard, walk-in fridge temperature is high, mixed meats on shelving, reaching up for heavy tubs, stood on containers…but there’s plenty more!

Hi Richard,
I am a ESL teacher, teaching vocational high school culinary students here in northern Norway. Is it possible to purchase your Restaurant Kitchen Health and Safety poster for use on a white board? Tried to follow the link for purchase of the poster to see if that was possible but your link isn’t working. Having the poster on a white board would allow the entire class to see at the same time if the resolution is good and would make my unit on health and safety more interesting. 😉
Hello Richard,
I am also a ESL teacher, teaching vocational high school culinary students but in Germany. The link doesn’t work for me either. Is it still possible to purchase the cartoon from you? I think it would be a perfect addition for my lesson. I’m a teacher in training and expect a visit in class from my superior next week and I would be super grateful if you could text me back. 🙂
